Welcome to Mama Hearts Baby. I'm Carla, the mama behind the blog. I live in Rhode Island with my husband, Jeremy, and our daughter, Dessa. We're growing our family and awaiting the May arrival of a new baby girl whose name we think we know but aren't sharing just yet.
Having my daughter opened my eyes to the joy of motherhood and also made me want to be my best self possible. I knew instantly I had to make an effort never to lose myself in my role as a mother and wife. In an attempt to not lose sight of the carefree, city girl spirit in me , I started this blog to have a place of my own. A place to chronicle the things I'm passionate about, to share my opinion, to remember pretty things, to figure out motherhood, to keep the Cuban Jersey girl with a love of her college town (Boston) alive.
